Saturday 6 September, 7.30pm - Chorleywood Free Church, Hillside Road. A concert
in aid of the Peace
Hospice in Watford. Ballads, Songs, and Snatches, from
the Edwardian drawing room to the concert hall.
Sunday 14 September, 4.00pm - St Andrew's Church Alexandra Park
Road. Words & Music with Bill Bingham, including
excerpts from William Walton's Façade.
Saturday 22 November, 11.00am - St
George's Church Beckenham. A coffee concert for St Cecila's Day.
Thursday 1 January 2009, 2.30pm - The Musical Museum, Brentford. A concert for New Year's Day.
Past:
Saturday 12 April - Michael and Vaninne were the first to appear on the stage of the Concert Hall, with Curator Richard Cole, at the new Musical Museum in Brentford, for a visit of the Musical Box Society.


Later, on Thursday 24th, Michael & Vaninne performed at the Oxford
and Cambridge Club. The combination of old and new technology - 1912 Pianola
and 2008 Digital Piano - caused amazement and great amusement!
2007:
Wednesday 19 September - at Croydon
Parish Church. The concert featured pieces by two local composers - Impromptu
by Samuel Coleridge Taylor, and Irish Jigs by Josef Holbrooke.
Also included was Handel in the Strand by Percy Grainger, arranged
as a duet for organ and Pianola; with Andrew Scott taking
the organ part. The final piece was the Clog Dance from La Fille
mal Gardee by Herold - a brand new roll from the Southport Roll Company..
Friday 7 September - St George's
Church Beckenham. The programme included Étude Symphonique
Op. 28 and Sous le Masque Op. 116 by Cécile Chaminade,
Camille Chevillard's Étude Chromatique Op. 9, Bourée Fantasque
by Emmanuel Chabrier and, from Quelques Danses Op. 26, Dédicace
et Sarabande by Ernest Chausson.
Thursday 26 July - The Coffee Concert at the Parish Church of St Laurence,
Church Stretton in Shropshire missed the very bad weather, and had a wonderful
audience. The programme included A Children's Overture by Roger Quilter,
The Ledbury Parson by Julius Harrison, Frederick Delius's The
Walk to the Paradise Garden, Colonial Song by Percy Grainger,
The Wand of Youth by Edward Elgar and Bats in the Belfry by
Billy Mayerl.
